Sure Radio is the University of Sheffield’s Student Radio Station. We were founded in 1996 and have been broadcasting ever since. We stream over the internet and around the union, every day, all day during term time.

Sure is run by 11 committee members who volunteer to take the positions and hold them for a period of 1 year, but Sure is really run by the presenters – each having a slot once a week when they broadcast their show from our studios in the union. Sure is as much a social group as it is a working station, people get involved because they enjoy radio and these like minded people tend to get along great.

In 2007 Sure Radio moved to a new set of studio’s – “The Media Hub”, here Sure begins a new era of radio, we aim to be the best student radio station in the country and believe we can do so with the help of everyone who gets involved.

Many clubs in Sheffield have hired Sure DJs in the past to play for them, so the talent is here. Sure is the place to be if you have a career in mind involving radio or any sort of music – get involved today, it’s your radio.
