There has been some confusion recently over the attendance of General Meetings. So I'll try and clear up this up here.

Attendence to General Meetings is COMPULSORY. Unlike other societies or committees, Sure Radio involves expensive equipment and a continual commitment. The station is constantly being improved and updated, and we need input from members to help and endorse this change.

This is the last annoying reminder that you will hear from me, EVER. Thats right, next Monday a new committee will be elected, and thats where YOU come in. All members are required to attend the most important meeting of the year, where you cast your votes and decide who will be running Sure for the next 12 months.

To promote the upcoming Sure elections members of the committee ran through their positions and roles within the radio. The committee position previously known as Head of Sports is being changed to Assistant Head of News and Sport. All positions are being contested, for more information on how you can run, contact Joe Allen

· The ticket giveaway procedures were reiterated. Only members who attend the fortnightly general meetings are permitted to sign up and giveaway tickets. Tickets must only be given away to the designated union event. All winners should be emailed to tickets@sureradio.com immediately along with show name.

Hello all members of Sure,

Just a reminder of the important final general meeting of the year. You MUST attend in order to continue your show next year. If you do not attend this meeting we cannot guarantee that you will be able to continue your show next year. There will also be information of current Sure events, committee elections and procedures for broadcasting again next semester.

· Joe Allen welcomed all members. It was announced that to better assist the formation of the playlist, that a music committee is to be established. All those interested should contact mmcguiness@sureradio.com

· There has been a lot of positive feedback over the podcasts. Sure is always looking for people to get involved in this. If interested contact r.whiteway@sureradio.com

· Joe Allen welcomed all members and proceeded to announce that next week an auction is to take place, selling off equipment no longer used by the station. This auction will be taking place next week and an email will be sent round shortly listing some of the equipment up for sale, and the time and location.

General meeting tonight folks, Monday 29th, Hicks Building Lecture Theatre 1, 6:00pm.
